WASHINGTON – Rep. Dan Bishop (NC-08) introduced an amendment to the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to repeal the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF). The amendment would the AUMF after a 180-day sunset period following the date of the legislation's enactment.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Last Friday, Representative Dan Bishop (NC-08) was named the new Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, and Accountability under Chairman Mark Green's (TN-07) leadership. Congressman Bishop will also serve on the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence.
