Bishop Votes Against Unconstitutional Vaccine Mandates in Democrats’ NDAA

December 7, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Bishop (NC-09) voted against the FY 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which keeps unconstitutional vaccine mandates in place against America's troops:

"I applaud the GOP negotiators who worked tirelessly to make the final version of the NDAA much better than its original, radical form. Democrats' provisions such as ‘red flag' laws and granting the Secretary of Defense powers to label any service member as an ‘extremist' should never have been in there to begin with. I am grateful Republicans were able to remove such radical agenda items. However, I could not in good conscience vote to allow Biden's vaccine mandate against our troops to remain in place, even as federal courts continue to strike down these unconstitutional mandates across the board. America's service members deserve better treatment than Democrats are willing to give." – Rep. Dan Bishop
