Bishop Urges Administration to Investigate Tax Dollars Funding Anarchy
WASHINGTON D.C.- Congressman Dan Bishop (NC-09) and Senator Joni Ernst (IA) partnered to ask the Office of Management and Budget for an official investigation into tax dollars used to support or clean up autonomous zones. The letter was sent to Director Russell Vought of the Office of Management and Budget on July 21, 2020 along with 23 House members and five Senators.
"Elected officials have allowed violent mobs to attack federal buildings and takeover city blocks, which has left American families wondering who will protect them," said Rep. Dan Bishop. "They've failed to uphold the basic tenants of security and safety and taxpayers deserve to know how much of their hard-earned dollars are going to the abdication of law and order. The Administration should take bold actions to shed light on all funds used to promote autonomous zones or clean up their destruction. I thank Sen. Ernst for her partnership on this issue and look forward to a full investigation," concluded Bishop.
