Bishop Introduces Bill to Prevent Vaccine Passports for In-Person Voting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Bishop (NC-09), along with 22 of his House colleagues, introduced the Securing Enfranchisement and the Rights of Voters regardless of Inoculation Status (SERVIS) Act, a House companion bill to Senator Ted Cruz's (R-TX), to protect voting rights regardless of vaccination status:

"Democrats have used unconstitutional COVID mandates to disrupt Americans' lives for two years. They've used vaccine requirements, in particular, to get people fired from their jobs or excluded from public life. It's not hard to imagine that these lockdown authoritarians will try to keep Americans from the voting booth based on vaccine status next. The SERVIS Act, first introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz last month, prohibits states from denying the constitutional right to vote by requiring proof of vaccination. The bill currently has 22 other House co-sponsors: Reps.
